Guided tour to Ballestas Islands where penguins, a lively sea lion colony and fantastic birdwatching make this boat trip popular with visitors. Brakfast box on board.

Paracas National Reserve, a refuge for many different kinds of birds, beautiful beaches, warm sunchine througthout the year and a wide range of activities. Lunch time on Lagunilla Beach.

PARACAS-NAZCA
2 DAYS / 1 NIGTH

The arid plains south of Lima once supported two great cultures; that of the Paracas, know for their imaginative, intricately woven textiles; and that of the Nazcas, noted for their handsome, brilliantly colored pottery and, more recently, for the great lines and figures they apparently etched on the plains. You now have an opportunity to delve into the mysteries of these cultures, and perhaps to answer some of the questions.

The excursion begins with a visit to the district of Barranco, a neighborhood both traditional and bohemian, and its well-known “Bridge of Sighs”; also called “Bridge of Chabuca Granda". Then; we will tour the beaches along the Green Coast, the Ecological Reserve at the Villa Marshlands, with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, continuing to see the temple of the deity “Pachacámac” Great Oracle; and progress South Freeway to the beautiful Bay of Paracas, (250 km). Breakfast box on board. Enjoy a cruise for an excellent view of the Candelabra etched into the mountainside. We will travel by boat to the incredible sea bird colonies of the Ballestas Islands, where hundreds and thousands of birds feed in the nutrient-rich waters of the Humbolt Current.

The Paracas peninsula offers us some of Peru´s most beautiful beaches, islands and the National Paracas Reserve, which is a refuge for many different kind of birds. Paracas offers us warm sunshine throughout the year and a wide range of activities. We also visit the Paracas Museum. Lunch time on Lagunilla Beach.

On the way to Nazca we will be stopping en route to see the sand dunes of Huacachina, where sand-boarding and dune buggie rides are an incredible option. Also, to see and amazing sand sunset.

Arriving in Nazca (km. 450) in the afternoon where you will check-in at the Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. An optional tour of a Pre-Incan cementery, complete with pottery, parched bones and 1500-year-old mummies reveal Nazca as the cradle of the ancient Paracas culture. Enjoy the City!

On the following day we will take a small plane flight over the Nazca Lines to observe and discover the message left by the past Inca civilisation. Enormous geometric lines and stylized drawings of animals will be observed (some up to 100 meters or 300 feet across). You, yourself may provide the answer to theories created by experts “it´s an extra terrestrial message or some nice art for the gods!”

Later that day we will go back to Lima…

During our trip, Peruvian Cuisine offers us a great variety of typical dishes from the coast, shrimps and camarones are an excellent choice, visit to the wine yards and of course, no trip to Perú is complete without a Pisco Sour.

Prices: from $79 USD
Transport: $100 USD each. Minimun 3 People.
